There are many places to visit for new year party near Delhi in which few are listed below, hope you find your one.
1. Shimla, Kufri, Narkanda and Chail- Best destination to enjoy new year week with friends and family. You can take bus or rail both are available to reach shimla. If you want to come shimla by train you have to reach Kalka railway station from New Delhi which is 90 km far from Shimla and from where you can enjoy toy train to reach Shimla.This will be breathtaking journey for travel lovers. Here you can enjoy at many places like Mall road, Jakroo temple, Lakar bazaar etc. Kufri is 17km away from Shimla where you can enjoy snow fall and can visit the zoo, full day of picnic. Narkanda is 63 km far from Shimla where you can enjoy heavy snow fall, majestic view, Hatu temple and many more things.
2. Lansdowne- is known as best place for weekend in UK and also best one for new year eve. You can come here with bus or train both. If you want to travel by bus you can get bus from delhi to kotdwar then Lansdowne which is approx 40 km far from kotdwar. you can also travel by train as 2 or 3 trains come at kotdwar from delhi. you can hire individual or shared taxi from kotdwar to Lansdown, it take hardly one and half hour. Here you will not find many thing to explore but Bhulla Tal and Tip N Top are best to visit.
3. Dharamshala & Mcleodganj- If you want to feel Bodh religion please visit here. You can come by bus or train both, buses are availabe from delhi to Dharamshala in a regular interval and if you want to come by train you have to board the train to Pathankot from delhi then Dharmshala is 87 km from Pathankot where bus service is available in between. You can visit here HPCA cricket stadium and War Memorial, by the way nothing much to visit in Dharmashala so you have to visit Mcleodganj, which is only approx 6 km from Dharmashala. Individual and sharing type of taxi available for Mcleodganj. It is Tibetan monastery, here you can find many places to visit likeTsuglagkhang, Bhagu Fall, Namgyal Monastery, Dak Lake, St. John in the Wilderness Church etc.
4. Dalhousie, Khajjiar & Chamba- Dalhousie is one of best places to enjoy new year eve, and also it is well connected with train and bus. Nearest railway station is Pathankot and is approx 85 km far. Bus or taxi easily available at Pathankot for Dalhousie. Here you can visit St. John's Church, Panjpulla, Khajjiar Lake, Chamera Lake,Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, Chamba village etc.
5. Mussoorie & Dhanaulti- One of the nearest and beautiful hill station from Delhi. Well connected with Train and road.There are trains coming till Dehradhun and then Mussoorie is approx 35km far. From Dehradhun, you can find bus and taxi easily for Mussoorie. Even if you want to explore Dehradhun many places like Tapkeshwar temple, Sahastradhara, Robber's cave etc. According to me, Mussoorie is the best palce for new year celebration, you can visit Kempty Fall, Mall Road, Jwala Devi Temple, Lal Tibba etc. Dhanaulti also known as Dhanolti, is a hill station 24 km (15 miles) from Mussoorie, and 29 km (18 mi) from Chamba, as it is situated between the two.You can visit here in ECO Park which is very beautiful. You can get many photogenic place here.
6. Kasol & Manikaran- One of the nicest place for new year celebration, Kasol is situated in the way to Manali, just you have to change from Bhunter where you can get bus or taxi for Kasol. Here you can visit Parvati valley, Malana village, Tosh. Manikaran Gurudwara is 3 km away from Kasol, here you find hot spring, even langar food also cooked in this hot spring. Behind gurudwara you can visit old Shiv temple, Lord Ramachandra Temple, city shopping and more things.
8. Kausani- Best place for Nature lovers, it is situated in Bageshwar district state of Uttarakhand and is famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. you can come here by Bus or Taxi and the best route in which you can cover more hill stations is Delhi to Nainital-Bhowali-Ranikhet-Kausani and you can choose route via Almora while returning. Here you can visit the Tea Garden, Anashakti Ashram, Sumitra Nandan Pant Museum, Laxami Ashram, Baijnath Temple and many more places.
9. Jaipur- If you like historical places than Jaipur is for you, here you can visit many forts which have captured a lot of history. You can explore many other things for new year eve for instance food, shopping, and adventures game. Here you can come by train, bus, taxi or flight also, well connected with Delhi and other cities of the India. You can see many animals here but it’s best known for its Bengal tigers. You can visit here by taxi, bus or train, nearest railway station is Ramnagar which is 12 km far. It is well connected with road and train, nearest railway station is Kathgodam railway station which is 34 km far.
